This project was a school typography experiment, where I explored handwritten type and visual consistency across a book cover series. I chose three novels by Haruki Murakami.
To create a cohesive look, I incorporated circle motifs as a unifying element across all covers, reflecting themes of time, connection, and repetition—common in Murakami’s works. Additionally, I used handwritten typography for each title to add a personal, organic feel that complements the surreal and introspective nature of his storytelling.
Through a mix of textures, abstract forms, and subtle color palettes, I aimed to capture the unique atmosphere of each novel while maintaining a consistent visual identity for the series.
